A Terrytown man has been booked with attempted murder after authorities say he nearly shot his neighbor and ran him over with a car after the two men argued over chickens.
Johnny Do, 55, of 2118 Dupont Drive, was booked with attempted second-degree murder by the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office on Saturday, and remains in custody at the Jefferson Parish Correctional Center in Gretna in lieu of $50,000 bail.
Do is accused of trying to shoot his next-door neighbor Anthony Najera with a revolver, and then trying to run Najera over with a car after they argued over chickens Najera keeps in his backyard, according to an arrest report. No one was injured.
